Privacy Policy

Overview
AtlasMe is a travel-mapping app that stores all your travel data locally on your device. We do not collect, share, or sell your personal information. The app works fully offline and does not require an account.
Data stored on your device
All map data, colored regions, city pins, folders, notes and visit dates are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
Location
AtlasMe may request access to your device's location to center the map on your current position and to detect which country you're in so you can quickly add it to a folder. Precise location is used in real time, on-device only, and is never stored on our servers or shared.
Photos
If you use Import from Photos, AtlasMe reads only the location tags (GPS coordinates) of your photos to detect the countries and regions you've visited. The photos themselves are never opened, copied, or uploaded — all processing happens on your device.
Diagnostics and analytics
To keep the app stable and improve it, AtlasMe uses Google Firebase, which collects a limited amount of diagnostic and usage data:
- Crash data — anonymous crash logs (device model, iOS version, app state at the time of the crash) used solely to fix bugs.
- Performance data — technical metrics such as launch time and responsiveness.
- Usage and identifiers — basic interaction events, an app instance identifier, and an approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address.
This data is not linked to your identity (AtlasMe has no accounts), is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and is never sold or shared with data brokers. The app contains no advertising.
Third-party services
AtlasMe relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — anonymous crash reporting
- Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google) — performance diagnostics
- Firebase Remote Config (Google) — remote feature configuration
- Apple MapKit — map tiles and geocoding
Children's privacy
AtlasMe is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no social or messaging features.
Your rights
Because all of your travel data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can permanently delete all app data by removing AtlasMe from your device. Under the GDPR and similar laws, you retain the right to access and erase your data — which, for on-device data, is accomplished simply by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
